Adrian D. Parker leads Social Media and Digital Strategy at RadioShack Corporation where he directs the company-wide customer engagement experience. He manages a talented team that, in just 2 years, has been recognized across the industry for mobile, social & digital advertising innovation. In this role he serves as a multi-channel consumer advocate responsible for developing interactive programs that drive results across product marketing, customer support, media relations, e-commerce and employee recruitment.
An award-winning brand strategist, Parker has 12+ years of agency and client side expertise managing advertising, PR, online, CRM and international campaigns in specialty retail. In addition to keynote presentations at national universities and conferences, his insights have been featured in media outlets such as Forbes, Wall Street Journal, AdAge, PC World, AdWeek, USA Today, eMarketer and numerous other pubs. He started his marketing career at Footaction USA and Foot Locker where he rose to increasing levels of responsibility, including advertising, online marketing and brand development. Parker also served as Director of Marketing for Liz Claiborne’s retail division in New York City. In 2007 he founded The Parker Marketing Group, a marketing communications firm located in Dallas, Texas providing Fortune 500 solutions to retailers and small businesses.
Parker is a graduate of Florida A&M University. In 2011 he accepted a Forrester Research Groundswell award as recogniton for top-performing B2C digital campaigns. He has been honored by “Black Enterprise” magazine for his bold marketing strategies that helped transform American business. Parker was also selected by “The Network Journal” magazine as one of their “40 Under Forty” award recipients and as “Alumni of the Year” by the Dallas/Fort Worth affiliate of INROADS, Inc.
Parker regularly counsels entrepreneurs and youth organizations. He and his wife, Alisha, are also active in several local community interests.
